Hi, I'm Amen
Currently Senior UX Designer at Nitro Inc.
A little about me
I'm a designer whose focus is on user research, interaction, design strategy, facilitation, and design ops. Throughout my design career, I have worked with reputable teams of engineers, product, business, and design leaders to solve challenging problems, craft processes, and design high-impact omni-channel experiences.
As a designer, I am always conscious of the impact of my work and the role that I play in bridging the gap between the experiences that I create and how users interact with them.
If you are interested in learning more about my work and processes, or just curious about my journey as a designer who started out in advertising, please reach out.

Let's chat through those questions you have on putting together and presenting your designs
Here are some of my design philosophies that influences my work
Design is best done together
Design is premised on collaboration and by extension a job best done together.
Design shows up
Design empowers people to be a better version of themselves.
Design challenges the norm
Design can healthily destroy barriers of institution, while doing so with love.
Design is too important to fit into a single narrative. Design is heterogenous.
You're in good company
Here are a few of the lovely companies I've worked with
A personalized time-management and scheduling system designed to maximize productive time for students when managing room bookingsView project
A system designed to provide useful and timely information to patients about their treatment encounter during outpatient visitsView project
To scale impact requires team effort. Design is premised on collaboration and by extension a job best done together. It should be useful and power up people to be a better version of themselves. It’s a bridge of understanding between intent and use.

There has been a lot of debate with no closure whether UX designers should learn to code or not. Those in support believe that it will make the UX designer more prepared for the work environment when they have to work with developers and programmers, so it is more of an asset.
